I use to say that I would never resign my life membership to the NRA! I think I need to do some serious thinking about this!!
No dont. Use it to continue to vote against the leadership.

Beginning to become even more cynical in my old age in regards to the fix being in, in every aspect of life!No dont. Use it to continue to vote against the leadership.
They certainly were in that fight:They are not fighting legislation in the individual states the way I think they should be. Oregon is an example... we have "Safe Storage" law now... not a peep from NRA when it was being done.
Dems have not passed national legislation in 27 years. We have had many wins from PLCAA to National Park Carry, etc. That is a 8000 lb gorilla. This is one of the things NRA gets right. They are no longer the 500lb gorilla that the Congress is afraid to buck. I can't remember the last time I saw them take a public position on proposed legislation.
Can/Will anyone here explain the nuts & bolts of how/why the NRA has screwed up and has lost the confidence of it's members?
They certainly were in that fight:
NRA Files Joint Legal Challenge Against Firearm Storage Initiative Petition
Oregon: Protect Your Second Amendment Rights from California-Style Infringements, Attend NRA-ILA Grassroots Workshops
NRA fights Oregon gun-control bill

The have pretty much taken a public position on everything. Only puck-up was bump stocks, and they heard it in spades from members.
I was just pointing out they were involved.Serious question: how much of that was ILA work? My position is the sum of the whole isn’t great than the sum of the parts.
That's going to keep a lot of people in the NRA.NRA membership required to keep your membership at your range I'm guessing?
No need to spend more than $10.00 annually
oh dear... I'm a malcontent now.The very groups that historically have been the back bone of the NRA are now the biggest critics. The NRA routinely describes these former support groups as adverse to the NRA and malcontents.
So skip the threats and just withhold the funds. When they call or email to solicit donations, tell them exactly why and in no uncertain terms.
Been doing that for a decade now. Need a new strategy. No dont. Use it to continue to vote against the leadership.
Feeling malcontent.Anyone have any thoughts on King Charles being elected president?
if you are a life member it costs nothing vs quitting.Been doing that for a decade now. Need a new strategy.
IMHO, yes you should.I'm torn as to whether I should merge these threads.
