The upper & barrel are from CBC Industries. Nothing special but they do make their own barrels. KM Tactical had a complete upper with Stainless fluted that I was going to get but after the shooting 2 weeks ago they sold out pretty quick. So I ended up finding the CBC site & got their barreled upper for the same price. But still had to get bcg & charging handle.

Ran into Charlie at the auction in Kerrville. The caller was doing a bang up job driving market prices and I ended up passing on the lots I was interested in.
Used Heritage RR 22 went for $225, for example. The lot I was interested in went for $925; my max bid was $800 based on inspection. After tax and buyer’s premium that’s $1125 for a rode hard Kimber that retails for $1250 all day long.

I spent all morning sorting and organizing my ammo. Wow! If you ever hear me say that I'm going to buy ammo, please ask me, "Are you sure?"
These days I normally shoot 9mm and .380 along with .38 Special and .357 Magnum. On occasion, I'll get out a .45 Colt. I have 400 rounds of 45 Colt +P ammo that is not recommended for Colts and clones. The packaging says to only shoot them in a T/C Contender, Ruger, or Freedom Arms revolver. I have a Colt SAA and a Great Western. Now I'm gonna have to trade somebody out of a Ruger Vaquero. I would like to have the Freedom Arms though but that ain't gonna happen.
And, where did all this .45 ACP ammo come from? I don't shoot my 1911's much anymore. And this .223/5.56? I haven't picked up an AR rifle or pistol in 2 years.
I know a couple of guys at a local range that have days that they take kids to shoot and get them interested in shooting. They furnish the rifles and ammo for the kids. Last year I donated them 5000 rounds of 22 for the kids. Looks like I need to donate some more.
I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm last week, the blue pills ammo. I found over 4000 rounds that I didn't know I had! I must be one of them hoarders.
I'll be 67 here in a couple of weeks and I'll never live long enough to shoot up all of this stuff. I need to get started shooting up some of this stuff so I don't have to move it next year when I move to the Lone Star state. My wife will have a helluva yard sale when I go toes up.
