Daughter got first place in shot put the other day at her track meet.

She asked for a flag as a congratulations.

Found the one she wanted at the gun show today.

    Got to raise them right.

    Howdy,

Haven't been on much, because it's been super busy with work and family.

Wife has been in the hospital since she was 22 weeks pregnant, December 15th. Her water broke and she's been on bed rest in the hospital since then. She made it 10 weeks 5 days. So he was nearly 33 weeks before he came out. Friday, 2/28/2020, she had some cramping and contractions early in the morning. It was constricting his blood flow on his umbilical cord and causes his heart rate to drop significantly each time there was a contraction. They decided it was better to deliver now before there was a serious emergency. So at 0855, we had a 2 lbs 8.2 oz baby boy that was 14.17" long.

He's doing well. He's been eating well, breathing mostly on his own, doesn't require and supplemental oxygen to keep o2 saturation up, and is doing a bit of UV treatment for his liver function, but is totally expected. He's extremely active and grumpy about the tubes and masks they make him wear, so he's always trying to kick stuff off or pull it out, so I'd say he's doing just fine. Still a long road, but so far so good. Mom is walking around a bit trying to get a quick start on recovering from her C-section, and super happy to be able to eat good food again. She's been enjoying some quality dining, such as pad Thai and drunken noodles, as well as Cheddar's spinach cheese dip and buffalo wraps. 11 weeks of hospital food would make anyone fantasize about food from the outside world.

    Congrats!

Really glad to hear he doesn’t need O2. Premie boys often have lung issues, sounds like he is doing well.

Too bad he couldn’t have waited one more day, a leap year kid would have been cool.

There is a really interesting thread over on arfcom about the Waco fiasco and the anniversary.

I remember it but I was only 13 and in NC. Lots of things I didn’t know or didn’t fully know. I always considered it a sh**show but there’s even more sh** I didn’t know about.
