As a few here know I started riding again this summer. Met and previously rode with a guy slightly older than me, he seemed like good people; unfortunately he didn't make it home today. It happened somewhere on 149 which is where I rode after work today; needless to say I hadn't heard the news yet.

Odd thing is, to avoid working Sat or Sun (or Mon), I went back to the office after the ride to complete 2 projects. Managed to avoid all the rain but did catch some damp roads and less than 7 miles from home got a weird sense and slowed to 50mph or less. Last corner before home I damn near went down because a neighbor had concrete work done and the crew left silt/clay in the road which was now wet.

RIP Joe.
