    there were so many fun things to shoot...my wish list keeps getting bigger and bigger
    A suggestion, though it's one many people ignore - You'll find your satisfaction with shooting comes not just from variety but also from competence. Having a bunch of guns is great fun but having one or two that you shoot really well is even better.

    Stated another way, if you decide you really like shooting then you ought to find some sort of organized competition that floats your boat. Your fellow competitors will become friends and they will push you to achieve higher levels of skill than you might now believe possible. That is deeply satisfying in a way that plinking away with 100 different guns can never be. Yes, the plinking is fun and you should do it whenever it's convenient but serious commitment to one discipline is more meaningful in the long run.
