    What caused all the problems?
first trip, my birth certificate wasn’t a certified copy. Paid Indiana to overnight a acceptable copy.
Second time, you need two items to verify your address. Vehicle registration was good, but the hunting and fishing license, from the state of Texas was not acceptable. They pretty much wanted a bill. I changed my auto insurance address, and printed out new proof of insurance cards.

Third time, they were to busy, and were not allowing walk-ins.

Since I’m staying in a camper while we are searching for a house, we have two addresses. The camper location, and the step daughters house where all of our mail was transferred to. The wife used the mailing address, with no issue. I’m just not that smart, I used the camper address.

I priced some pressure treated wood today, to build a front porch. That shit is higher than giraffe pussy. For a 12x16 deck ... built with 10" piers, with 6x6 post, 2x10 beams, 2x8 joist & 5/4 deck boards.... $1800 + tax. Thats not even including the railing.
Tell me about it, my husband and I are building a pier and beam house. Thankfully we have a kit house but it still requires a lot wood.... ugh....

Yeah, i knew wood has been high, but damit man its even went up more since November. I built a chicken coop back then ... 12 x 8. It cost me over $800 for 2x4s, 4x4s, fence pickets, 4 sheets of tin & 2 sheets of T111. The

Thank you! We are so ready, we currently live in maybe a 150 sqft cabin with a loft bedroom that no one can stand in and no real kitchen to speak of. Wood has gone up like crazy even in the last month. We priced 2x8's in the middle of March and when we ordered them a week later they had already jumped by two dollars a board.

This is what we have so far. :-)

Just trade them a couple boxes of 9mm. That should cover the cost

    Not where you are
Repurposed and recycled lumber. I collect all I can get.
Contractor friends that do tear outs call me for collection of good stuff.
Networking and thinking out side the box can save you money.
Im collecting/gathering anything I may be able to use on the property.
I am in no way embarrassed to admit my frugality.
Last score was these 33 sheets of 3/4 TnG plywood that had been under a carpeted dance floor. Still perfect. Oh and some 1x4 and 2x4.

Being a frugal miser is cost effective.
About 15yrs ago built this addon to garage completely framed with 2x4s from my sons job at the time. Granite slabs are shipped on 2x4 A-frames which turned in to the addition.

Ive been recycling building materials for many yrs.
Early 80s first house I built roof was decked with plywood all from shipping containers from my job back then. First they made the forms for the pier wall then dirty side down decked the roof.
