My boss’s boss is announcing he’ll be leaving the company. Next Friday will be his last day.

ETA: he just said “the next few years are going to be hard for y’all and I’m ready to do something else.”

ETA2: 14 mins in and it the q&a part opened up and there’s a bunch of awkward silence since we’re all pretty excited about the interim guy we’ll be working for.

Well we’ve had an over/under at work since February; the date was Aug 31st, closest wins if nobody hits. Gotta figure the winner out over the weekend, but it ain’t me. They changed our periodic check-in cut off from quarterly to mid-year so he’s getting out before it can be documented that he’a not cutting the mustard. Guy’s been ROAD since early April.
