    Motors are built for a 1/4 mile runs. Running 4-wide goes through the service interval 2x as fast. 1/8mi runs are less abusive on the motors.

    I don’t like it though. Too many folks trading the 1/4mi for high hp 1/8ths.
    The 4 wide racing is sort of limited, since there are only a few tracks that can host them, unless they have built more of them in the last few years.

    And cars set up for 1/8 mile are different than 1/4 mile cars. Most of the large sanctioned tracks went from 1/4 mile to 1000 feet some years ago. Never did understand the reasons for that either.

    By the weather app on my phone, the radar shows that the storm in my area is almost and since I didn't get to see the eclipse and the house is locked up tight. Think I'll hit the sack.
