    I wonder if it would be Cal OSHA approved. I read somewhere they regulated the weight of framing hammers to reduce the incidents of " tennis elbow" in carpenters.
    Freaking Californians. It’s a claw hammer or maybe a roofing hammer it’s easy work. My god man nothings going to get done in the future.

    Seems like a Komifornia thing to do but haven't heard that. Weight of the hammer isn't an issue. It's material of the handle.

    Used Estwing for years and started having issues. Went to wood handles and the problem went away.

    Use a Martinez now and still no problems. Best hammer I've owned btw. Worth the price.

    I always seemed to buy estwings that didn’t hold up. For around the house claw hammer, I’m fine with a basic wood handle middle of the road brand.
