Not enough to get me to move back.
In the late 80's I lived off Allen Genoa in a trailer park. Refurbed mobile homes and did repairs all over south Houston area. Made $500-$1000 a week back then. Went to central Texas to visit for a weekend and could not get rid of a funky stink until we got back in the Houston area. 2 weeks later we sold everything and left.
Figured out that funky smell was fresh air. Don't care what it cost me, it was worth it.

He's from Houston, but been here in San Marcos for a number of years. He said when he drove down there for his job interview and about the time he got past Katy and hit the traffic and remembered all that.

I like Houston.

Coming from a small town where the sidewalks rolled up at 6PM, 18-year-old me was shocked and delighted that I could go out any buy bread at 10PM. The feeling never wore off.

I dumped about $75 bucks into Christmas lights. Bought the LEDs. Couple rolls of 300 light strands plus some other smaller stuff. That being on top of the stuff I already had.
