There's a black kid that's probably 13 that lives down the street. He's already out walking around looking for yards to mow. This kid hussles for his money. You don't see him unless he's pushing a mower. Occasionally you'll see his dad. Straight forward guy that pushes his son in the right direction.

Rain brings good things.

Right after I seen him, I came back inside. 5 mins later it starts pouring. Little homie is the real deal. America's future...least I hope.

Neighbor kid started mowing my lawn at 12 years of age, about 30 years ago. Pretty soon, he was taking $25 from me, paying subcontractor kids in the neighborhood $10 to push the mowers, and buying more lawn equipment with his cut. He had sewed up three neighborhoods, doing pretty much all the lawns, by the time he was 16. Then his family moved away, well out 290 way. I lost track of him until I started seeing all the lawn crews running around with his name on the side of the trucks.

By now, his lawn care business is apparently huge.

I shot my first wedding when I was 12. There wasn't another photographer in my small town. Throughout most of my teens, during the summers I consistently made more money than my dad. At times, it was really awkward. He was proud of me, yeah, but he was also a little dumbfounded.

Then I moved to Houston, found out that I had insufficient talent/skills to make a living at photography in a major market, and gave it up. That definitely cured the awkwardness.

My first born son makes more money then I'll ever see. I never fussed about him playing video games. Now he's a software engineer and out of my league.

Mid 20's making six figures. I always wonder what that's like.

He had a hand in designing some automated weapon systems for the military. The way I understand it, he helped design the system that deals with the way the robot sees things.

I'm seeing Bush, The Cult, and STP here Thursday night.

Disturbed is coming to Austin I think in October. I have to recheck. But I so want to go!
