Tell me something, is it normal for a job to regulate how much your paid with your own vacation hours? Apparently I'm only allowed to take 36 hours for each week I'm gone.
In Colorado, I could use my hard earned vacation hours for the exact days I took off.

That's so unusual, I had to read it 3 times to understand it.
Not normal in my experience .

Seems odd that it wouldnt pay on a 1-1 scale. No reason for it not to.

Now if you WORKED some hours, I can see it not allowing you to utilize vacation hours to vault you into overtime territory.

Any chance you worked 4? Did your check balance out to 40hrs?

How many hours do you normally work a week?

If you pull 40 normally then it sounds odd. If you work 36 then it sounds about right.

Yeah... I get 3weeks and buy a week. Apparently I need more;)
I've almost got the opposite problem. I usually end up with more vacation than I can use. We used to be able to give it to other employees, then people started abusing it by selling vacation days to others under the table.

I have checked. The vacation starts on the 20th, but their only allowing 3 days worth of all my PTO for next week. That's it.

If we don't use ours by the end of the year, we lose it. The end of the year for me will be June.

I work anywhere from 40-58 hours a week. I've only worked 16 hours this week so far.

I have to be careful about it rolling out the backside too. (no OOC)

Me too. Sometimes ya cant avoid it on sick time but vacation you sure keep an eye on. We can transfer, but only dire circumstances and to be approved by top-dawg.
