    Theres nothing like a B-1 at full-tilt-boogy.

I flew a B-17 for a couple of weeks. In Oklahoma there was a B-1 shooting touch-and-go's with full burners and the whole wings pulled back thing on the downwind leg. Helluva thing to see.
Next stop Dayton. B-1 tied down on the runway next to us workin on the APU. The mornin after the show, all the planes were gone cept us and them. We preflighted and fired up. On check-in we had all four turning (so you can hardly hear, even WITH dave Clarks) and the pilot came on and said "Whats that vibration?". We didnt find anything and he came back on and said "Now I hear a low roar". We looked at everything, all good. I was at the right waist position and looked over at the B-1 and they had it fired up with all four burners going full bore. You could hear it and FEEL it above all the radial noise on the plane.

Amazing.:pilot:<--(gotta put up the only plane emojie!!!)
    They do let you know.

Being 10 miles from the tarmac?
For some reason, Sunday morning is always engine test day.
Last fall I had some friends out for a range day.
    Electronic headphones were prevalent.
We heard the trains and some highway noise from a couple miles away.
    No biggie.
    Then the engine tests started.
"WTF is that?" was asked a few times.
    "How far?" a few more.
    "I can feel it!"

    Whats not to love...:green:

Wish the Valkyrie had made it through.

I was just thinking that the Vulcan was the loudest I've ever heard.

The loudest fighter sized plane I've heard is the F-111. Looking at the Foxbat I image it's louder but I haven't seen one in action.
