I used to take a foot ferry from Bremerton to Port Orchard,Wa after work, a couple times I had them come up and scare the crap out of me. Light wasn't very bright on the dock and they can be quite loud clearing their blowhole.

Thud and Aardvark, sweet. I was at RAF Upper Heyford which has been home for both.

The Thud and Aardvark live at the Ft Worth Aviation Museum on Meacham Field. Which is across the field from the Flying Heritage Museum - between the two of them, you can get a full day of classic aircraft without much expense. It looks like since I visited a couple of years ago the Thud has been cleaned up, repainted, and is on display out front rather than parked in front of the restoration hangar.
