My son was on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) on its first world cruise. That was a big ship for a 19 year old.

I can guarantee that ship has some of my welds still on it. I couldn't tell you how many times I worked on that and most all the other west coast carriers.

I'll have to let my son know that you kept him afloat. He was "Sailor of the Quarter" one quarter on the first cruise and was in to keeping her in tip top shape.
