    My last 8 track was in quadraphonic sound. I spent a great deal of time wiring it in, since my car at that time only had two speakers. I also remember that quadraphonic 8 track tapes were much more expensive.

    Those island runways will scare the crap out of ya. When the wife and I flew into Tahiti I was looking out the window. The water kept getting closer and closer, when the wheels touched down I was still looking at water, we were seated in the back of the plane.

    When we left they had a tractor back the plane up to where the wheels were just on the runway.

    The runway is JUST long enough to allow a 747 to land and takeoff....if the temperature isn't too high. They can't take off if it's over 82°.

    When I went to boot camp you could still see the burn scar on the hill east of town from the crash of PSA 182, it had happened just five days earlier.
    Not an airport story. My dad told me a plane story... went divin in Cozumel around 69 or so. Took a DC-3 out of Hobby. They had to wrap a rope around the starboard engine and pull start it with a tug. lol

    Bet the FAA wouldnt go for that these days...:green:
