I'd like to thank OP for starting this thread. I now feel I have to own a Glock 20. Bastardo!

Don't feel too bad. I now need a couple different Sigs., a few Glocks, Another 1911 or two, with multiple conversion kits, a Lionheart LH9, AND a Walther or two. I Really hope my secret Santa was following this thread.

Glock in 10mm w/ some drop in conversion barrels for plinking cheaper. Do a handle chop for concealment if needed.

In my mind that's the only one that meets your criteria easily with mainstream parts and ammo and won't cost a fortune.

If NFA were no issue, there's also a stock that fits into them to make them an SBR for hunting. You could make one yourself very easily though if it became necessary in an emergency.
I totally agree. Ammo is inexpensive and plentiful if you roll your own. Brass is available at Starline ,40 cal bullets a couple if pounds of blue dot or power pistol some LP primers a press and you can make plinkers to nuclear loads. Most versatile semi auto you can buy.

Hmmmm.....I'm gonna say glock 20 or 20L with a Dillon 9x25 conversion barrel.

Yep I think that will just about kill anything and still be reasonably concealable.

Seriously though I would just stick with my 17.

Im a sucker for S&W 5906 type pistols. All stainless steel, hammer (some without), ambi safety, and comes in different calibers.

Would love to get a 4506 or 645 which both are .45 acp.

Gotta say guys, ya'll have given me quite a few more options to look into.

I know I'll never have, nor do do I believe there ever will be that one pistol but, if it ever comes close to that, I at least have a pistol that might come close to filling that role.
