I saw this for sale at the LGS today. It is from an estate sell. I don't know much about revolvers or this one in particular. I believe it's not as desirable as the snake guns. Will it hold its value?

Colt says it's from 1978. I'm guessing that is nickel and not stainless, correct?

It's Helotes Tactical Firearms if anyone is interested. If you buy it out from under me I won't cry. I'm only moderately interested at this time.

I have a Mk III blued. It is an excellent revolver. Value is chasing the snake guns, but not in the same Zip Code. If the snake gun pricing wasn't showing signs of an imminent correction - I'd tell you to buy it and strap in for a wild ride. But, it is not a snake gun, so expect the value to outpace inflation - it is not a winning lottery ticket.

    What's their address?

I'd be on that in a heartbeat if it's mechanically sound.

I have two issues with this revolver.
One it has a nickel finish. A nickel finish is very hard to keep from having rust develop below the finish.
Any little knick or scratch is an entry point for moisture.
The second issue is the fact that getting original replacement parts for Colt revolvers is very hard to do.
A Colt revolver will always have a buyer.
