Interesting paragraph on "Intersex", previously referred to as "Hermaphrodite."
I don't specifically disagree with anything it says but I think it's incomplete. It says that intersex folks can live completely healthy lives without medical intervention. Strictly speaking, that's true. In the real world, though, if only a little medical intervention is needed on a newborn, such procedures can make that person's life so much easier it beggars description.
