I'm sure plenty of you are well versed on these, but I have found a pretty good way to practice at home and wanted to share.

I have been using a PC based shot timer (par timer) for draw to fire training and have started using it for reload training.
For those who may not know, it is a timer that gives a start/stop beep at an interval set by you. I set it up for loop and it will do the following:

    "Are you ready"
    Waits about 2 sec..
    "Standby"
Waits an adjustable time set by you (STANDBY time)...
    START BEEP
Waits an adjustable time set by you (PAR time)....
END BEEP (you are striving to complete your action by this beep).
Waits an adjustable time before it starts over if in loop mode (RESET time).

This has been a great tool for me increase my speed and (probably more importantly) consistency. If I set this for my fastest time, I can work to get a few times within some hard limit. But, if I set it so some level that I'm reasonable able to make, I will push to make this every time, working to eliminate mistakes.

Just wanted to share. I find it very helpful.

If anybody is interested, you can download it here and check it out....

Hope some of you find it helpful.

Here's some extremely cool and useful flash, dry fire tools. Thanks to Matt Burkett for making it!:

Cool thing is, if you have your TV hooked to your PC (I have mine connected with an HDMI cable), you can run this much closer to full size if you have a good size TV.
