    At a macro view he gets it mostly right. Too much emphasis in Mexicans as a source of migrants; it’s much more a transfer state for third country immigrants. That likely ain’t stopping anytime soon.

    At a micro view, the major metros are already getting tapped out from am infrastructure standpoint; that’s probably our largest challenge to overcome. When you’re spending 2-3hrs commuting in traffic everyday, that gets old and sprawl results. Logistically though, the five major metros are the only real, affordable airports to get elsewhere and that’s a net negative in an increasingly mobile society. Once getting to a decent airport is too much of a pain in the ass, growth stops. That’s where I sense the real breakpoint is.

    Ugh. That means my part of Houston can still increase in population density for a long time at a high rate. But there's too many people here, already. :(
