Hey guys, looking at buying a used Rucksack from a Military Surplus this week, and going to start putting together a bug out bag. Just looking for different ideas for accessories and what others are using as their bags. :ohnoes:

    Nobody wants to share?

Well here is my B.O.B I just ordered off eBay. Total - $57. (I e-mailed him and he is gonna send me one out for a Buy It Now price)

LARGE RUCKSACK MOLLE II ACU US ARMY BACKPACK BUGOUT BAG - eBay (item 300586293708 end time Aug-12-11 21:15:14 PDT)

This is my next purchase for my rucksack

ACU Camo 29" SHOTGUN MOLLE SHOULDER SLING SCABBARD | eBay

Then onto the food. I will probably buy freeze dried meals. I have had Mountain House freeze dried meals and they are actually pretty decent. Then water. I already have first aid kit (probably just buy more supplies) and lighter and water proof matches. I have a SOG Auro Seal fixed blade knife. Gonna buy a Leatherman. Then flash light(s), Maps, Compass, sleeping bag, AMMO. Plenty more to buy after all that, but thats where I'm at now.

With every house having a hot water tank 40+ gal of water should be available at the first indication of problems. I would forgo getting water and get a purification system and water storage containers. My 2 cents worth.

Since I have a young family and live in the city I don’t have a bug-out-bag. I have a couple shelter-in-place containers. (I can easily put into backpacks if we need to evacuate.)
But, I do have a Get-Home-Bag that I keep in my truck. I work in downtown San Antonio and live 13 miles to the NW part of the city. If there is an emergency while I’m at work there will be little chance of me being able to drive home. So I created a bag to help me survive the walk.

Well my ruck is here...Now how the hell do I put it together?! lmao. This will sure be a project in itself.

The link I posted earlier in this thread, is who I bought it from. He actually sold and shipped to me for $50! This is a good guy, if you are interested please contact him.
