Pistol Rest for a S&W X-Frame

Mounted my first scope to a revolver. Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x32 on a S&W Xframe 350 legend. Took it to the range on Saturday and struggled with my limited collection of sand bags and whatever trash I could find in the trashcan to shim. Still struggl;ed to get a good rest and am not completely happy with my zero at 25 yards. Any recommendations for a decent rest? I am looking at the pistolero rest from Caldwell but the reviews on amazon are mixed. TIA

If you zero from a rest then that zero is only good from a similar rest.

You're better off using bags or whatever to support your wrist and shooting like that. Then when you shoot from other benches/ in the stand/ field or whatever you just support your wrist again to remain consistent.
