    I purchased an STG-2000c from Inter Ord last year. Overall the rifle is ok. However it has more sharp edges than a cheese grater, canted front sight/gas block and crappy handguards.

    I'm kind of turned off by all this.. I can sell or trade and take a little hit or I can fix all the above. Should I sink $$$ into a so-so rifle?

    Yep, a lot of folks run those guns with mechanic's gloves. You could break the sharp edges & duracoat it.
