He'd shoot both revolvers simultaneously, one in each hand, and win on pure awesomeness.I'm sure Sugarland would be interested.

Sure.Would optics be allowed?
Maybe I should start looking for bargain-priced .500S&Ws. Everyone seems to be ditching them so they ought to be cheap, right?
If this thing comes together, I'll be running it and not shooting it. At least, I won't be shooting to win. I figure it's a good excuse to build a single-shot in .458 Lott, though.
Not really. Pistols don't hit you in the shoulder when they go off. The really powerful single-shots, assuming proper stock design and a good brake, are easy to shoot.Had a .458 Lott rifle. You sir are a glutton for punishment.
I had to deal with that when writing the rules draft. I haven't decided if they go in their own class or if I'll just have to define "semi-auto" to include only firearms where the magazine is inserted through the grip. If AR pistols are allowed to compete against everyone else, no one else would need to show up. That's bad for business. So a .50 Beowulf AR pistol would work right?
Was that .50BMG pistol a hoax or a real thing?Maddi-Griffin FTW!

...and so the search for a .700 nitro handgun begins.Just for reference, the definition used for a handgun cartridge for this event will be anything straight-walled or originally and/or traditionally used in handguns.
This one is for real. Was that .50BMG pistol a hoax or a real thing?
Shouldn't be hard to make. PacNor makes the barrels and a simple interrupted screw-thread, turn-off barrel design wouldn't require all the engineering expertise in the world. If someone wants to come up with one, I'm happy to encourage them....and so the search for a .700 nitro handgun begins.
The Wildey web site shows that the .475 can easily handle bullets up to 350 grains. I imagine that will be competitive for more than just a side trophy but also for match winner, if you can shoot it well.
That site also shows reloading die sets for under $100. Of course, it hasn't been updated since 2009, so I have no idea what the real situation is there.
