I have been there twice since the "sale" started, almost everything is only 10%, which brings the price down to retail. None of the ammo or firearms are discounted at all! Most of the store is at 10 - 155 so nothing worth going for, imho. I will continiue to check in, it's (the Lewisville, TX store) pretty much right on my way to work. so i'll check in again in a few days.....

A guy on the Sig forum posted this from the Atlanta GM. It used to be on sale for $99.99 but now it's marked up to "was $149.99". Now the price is $127.49 because of the 15% off. The best part is that they leave the old price on the box. When the manager was asked about it, he walked away.

They had 30% off on optics. Picked up another VX1 for a little cheaper than I could get online. Last one they had, too. Mostly just junk or expensive scopes left.

Also got a pair of Ariats for $80 that are normally $160 at Cavenders. That probably means the same boots are $90 on amazon, but I didn't look

Already completed. Camping World bought the stores and the IP, and a liquidator bought all the inventory. It seems like the liquidator is dragging their feet to me...

Started to get a 50cal can at the store on 6/290 for $15 but there was only 1 chick at check out and 4-5 guys ahead of me already getting impatient so I bailed.
Possibly at the last minute might be able to score one of the display reloading presses at a good deal.

The one in SL I used to work at is still full of junk. Don't get me wrong, many things are gone, but much remains.

Still high prices on most guns, although they have an 1895 guide gun for $500 that I paid $600 for a year and a half ago.

I was in there trying to get the employees to mark shit down even more for me, considering they don't have jobs anymore in a few months and shouldn't care less, but the company took away their markdown abilities and employee discount.

For the record, everyone I knew who used to work there with me are long gone. They're al strangers to me

Went to the Spring location. Almost bought a set of Vortex 12x50 binoculars. After 20% discount was only $10 less than Amazon. Not including tax.

I just seen the 6/290 store had 60% off ... i will probably stop by at lunch to pick up some bolt for the boat trailer bunks... should be able to find a deal. I have been in there 3 times since the sale has started & still haven't found any "deals".

The last 9-10 years they have been in that location across from Academy & i have never seen the Gander parking lot filled to the capacity that Academy does. Its funny to walk into Gander & see the same fishing lure i can get at Academy for $5.99 at Gander for $7.99 or $8.99.... i always knew it would be a matter of time before Gander went under. There is no way your going to bring a retail outfit into Texas & try to compete with a Born in Texas store with the Texas pride we have then try to charge me more $$$ for the product... i don't know who came up with their business model but obviously it was due for failure from the start.
