The safety is worthless as well. You are still advised not to carry it with the hammer down on a live round just like an old time revolver.

Mostly it just gets in the way.

Other than the worthless safety, I love my Heritage. Wood grips on mine. Not the most accurate plinker you'll find, but fun all the same.

Why? As .22's go they are dirt cheap and they are made cheap. I can go to Academy right now and pick one up with an extra .22 WMR cylinder for $190 out the door.

Go shoot it and enjoy it. Having a gun and not shooting it seems mystifying to me unless it has some historical significance. Even then I might shoot it.

Not yet and probably will not till next weekend. Just stopped by Academy today and picked it up, but I did clean it and it was a breeze literally one screw and you can take it down.

Picked this up today. .22/.22 magnum. I was thinking about Academy. When I called to see if they had one, the guy didn't act like he wanted to talk to me and damned sure didn't want to tell me what models they had. Love's even told me about silmilar ones they had I had not ask about. Academy lost. Better service and only $10 more. Now for a holster.

EAA Witness 45/22lr combo. Sent the 22 upper to Adco and had them extend/thread the barrel.

Who cut the barrel? I have a rifle that I want to SBR, but being a .22LR, I've had trouble finding a suitable ready made barrel.

Just about anyone who cuts barrels and threads them can do a 22lr as easy as a 223.

Don't know how short you want yours but 4.5in and 9in are common barrels out there.
