Well, I had been waiting for Primary Arms to release their SLx 1-8x24 FFP ACSS Raptor optic since July when I heard it was being produced. Than surfing FB I saw MrGuns&Gear had a link to the scope with a free mount or rings (Click Me) and PA had a "Save12" 12% off the entire store. So I wasted no time placing the order. With the First Responder discount as well, I was able to get this optic and mount for sub $400! It arrived Saturday and was able to get it mounted.
First impressions: Pretty solid and clear glass for a sub $500 (MSRP) scope! At 1x the reticle acts as a red dot when illuminated. The reticle is etched so you don't have to have it illuminated. Between 2x & 3x "my" eye can start seeing the ACSS reticle and hold-overs. At 8x the reticle is big and bright (like the stars at night).
Now I still need to go out and zero it. PA manual says to zero 1" high at 100yds with M80 147gr/168gr SMK .308. So we'll see how accurate the BDC is using 168gr SMK.
Rifle: Barrett REC10 .308
Suppressor: Crux Nemesis30
Optic: PA SLx 1-8x24 FFP Raptor
Mount: ADM Recon Scout 30MOA
