she probably meant white peopleAnd just when did she say this, and about who?
Because I have serious doubts she would have had that to say about Rittenhouse.

There may have been other armed 17 year olds at the riot KR was in. We don't know. There were certainly armed rioters. For @Sasquatch, police don't have an obligation to protect us so we are on our own. As you all know, 17 year olds can enlist in the service with parental consent. I was on my own at 17. KR seems like a very well balanced young man.
What is the point of stand down orders? They might as well just go home.
Or in Minneapolis when the police were told to abandon the police headquarters last year during the riots. https://www.twincities.com/2020/05/...-as-george-floyd-protesters-pull-down-fences/Yes, SCOTUS ruled the police have no duty to protect the *individual* - they have a duty to maintain the peace and protect the public as a whole though. They have failed rather miserably in every one of the cities where these riots take place, especially when leftist mayors or chiefs give stand-down orders.
I understand where you are coming from, but I think it lost sight of WHY Kyle and other felt the need to do what they were doing.17 yo have there whole life ahead of them, possibly dying to protect a car dealer insured inventory is not the hill to die on.
There is plenty of "right" he could have done without this unforced error. But that is boring and does not involve being cool toting an AR-15 around.
Someone paid close attention during training; likely practiced, too.Watching Tucker
KR had a malf just before he had to shoot lefty and was able to clear it by pushing FA and closing bolt. Seemed to imply Lefty saw him manipulate gun and might have thought he was empty and then charged him. Surprise!
The fallout from this case is likely to go on for several years. Some good can come from it.
