    also two legged 'squirrels' and other animals. maybe not applicable to your situation, but I know more than one gardener with an outdoor dog to watch over theirs. don't recall them catching any tree rats but did catch a couple of bunnies. and one in Katy that planted a couple bitter orange trees adjacent to his fence to discourage five finger discounters along the street side of his garden. just fyi as usual.
