Read the RULES before doing anything (i.e., location must be in thread title, and the ad must include a price), and look at other ads to get an idea of what info is needed or desired.
Pictures always help!
As for the actual transaction, always meet during daylight hours at a safe public location. All SAPD substations have Safe Exchange Zones which are "great and safe ways to do any sales transactions /exchanges between strangers."
If you are still concerned, bring a friend or two who can watch your back during the exchange of items and money.
And, for the love of God, do NOT insist on a bill of sale for a private transaction. No Texas or Federal law requires it, and many don't like to provide their Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in writing for another person to maintain.
It's OK to ask to see a TX drivers license or LTC to ensure the buyer is a state resident. Note those items don't necessarily mean they are eligible to legally purchase/possess a firearm.
If you have any doubts on the buyer's ability to purchase/possess a firearm, ask them directly. If you're still not convinced, walk away.
While the legal liability of selling to a non-qualified individual is pretty straightforward, if you sell a gun to an individual who clearly isn't eligible, it can come back to haunt you.
Also make sure the purchaser is buying the weapon for themselves or someone legally able to possess it. I saw a salesperson deny a couple trying to purchase a handgun at a local gun store as the female claimed it was for her, but she kept asking questions of the male with her who didn't speak English and wasn't a US resident.

FWIW - I've actually talked and texted w/her, and can tell you she's "real". I've gotta tell you - if it wasn't for the NIB '64 Mauser 30-06 I've got already collecting dust, I'd be buying her rifle. I'm pretty sure she's going to be pricing it fairly. And if y'all DON'T jump on it, I might...

You've been handheld through the process several times, by me and others, even with an offer by @TexasRedneck to talk you through it over the phone. Seems he also said you had an offer of $800 for it at a local shop but you want $1,000. Maybe that's your best way; less complicated for you.
