    Hhhmmmm....

Someone is not feeling very inclusive...how sad!

Be at peace with the world; go hug a tree and give a hipster a weed bouquet. You’ll feel much better!

Interesting, they claim to have instructors here in Texas. I am not trying to give them my email to get in contact though. I wonder if some of the anti CC guys are on that list?

Definitely has been an influx of some left-leaning liberal gun owners that have joined TGT over the last year or so. Some of them are not in the least bit shamed in letting you know they are left-leaning liberals either.

I'm not sure I should touch this topic...but here goes.

There are lots of liberals (not progressives, classic liberals) who own guns and believe in gun rights for everyone. Folks would be surprised at who some of those people are.

Who hasn't heard of Deviant Ollam? The guy is great, gives great talks about physical security, and collaborates with Forgotten Weapons, InRange TV, and The Firearms Blog on Youtube. He runs a major shoot out in Nevada every year.

He's also a lefty. Not a crazy one but definitely left of where we typically expect gun owners to be.

The Liberal Gun Club interviewed him a while back. The interview is in two parts on YT. If, like me, you listen to almost everything on YT at 2X speed, then it's less than 40 minutes out of your day. You might learn something. You might not. The first few minutes of the first vid, at minimum, will provide a window into the world of gun groups outside what we think of as our culture. Later, he goes into the racist underpinnings of gun control...if you choose to stick with it for that long.

I think he's worth listening to. At least try the first three minutes of the first vid and you'll know that even if he's a liberal, he's not crazy. You may come to realize that the phrase "liberal gun owner" isn't always an oxymoron. As for the rest of the two vids, well, as always, YMMV.

Gotta say, I truly believe that anyone who voted for the serial groper voted to have me loaded into a boxcar. I value your opinion, but I don’t think I will be intentionally helping someone who made the decision to gas chamber me via a monetized click.

I think it should be put into proper perspective. Over the last several years, and maybe even longer, many of those left-leaning liberals have moved towards more socialist and communist ideology. Not all of them, but many are embracing those political values.

In some things, even I'm more liberal leaning than even conservative, but I would never embrace, or advocate socialist or communist values in any way. In many ways, what I think as liberal, many might term more libertarian though.

I agree. Classical liberals certainly didn't vote for him.

Part of the reason I was a bit tenuous about joining this conversation was that it's frequently impossible to just get past the definition of terms.

Personally, I think sometimes the definitions change over time. or for some to suit their own personal agenda.

I have been called conservative, libertarian, centrist, liberal and a few others as well.

I believe in less government is better and the less intrusive government is on our personal and daily lives the better. I believe in law and order and support LE for the most part. I believe in the Constitution, and that it was written affirming, and acknowledging, our God-given rights and not granting them. I believe people should do whatever suits them, as long as what they do, doesn't infringe upon other people's rights or freedoms. I believe in living my life and being left alone.
