I've been following the meet up threads and wishing I wasn't so danged far away and it has got me wondering. How much ammo do you usually carry to the range? I do understand that Tejano Scott aint likely to carry a lot of S&W 500 everytime out but he might. Just wondering.

I usually cary 200rd of .38 (4 revolvers to run it through, maybe a lever action)
    200 rd of .45ACP (1 1911)
A bulk pack OF .22 lr (1 semi auto pistol and 1 revolver, maybe the pump action rifle)
2 boxes of 12ga and the mossberg 500, just cuz.

    That's typical for me.
Sometimes the sks goes, sometimes the .243, sometimes the .223. Depends on whether I want to shoot from a bench or not.

If I do make it to a TGT meet up, I'll bring a shit load for sure.

On the shoot this weekend I am bringing about 2500 rounds total but it is not typical. I can do 1000 22lr. in a half day shoot in houston.

Well Chuck is the one with the 500mag, and he's always been very generous with people shooting his guns with his ammo.

As for me, this weekend I am bringing approx 400 rounds of 45acp, 400 rounds of 223/556, 300 rounds of 762mm/308, 300 rounds of 7.62 X39, 100 rounds of 9mm I threw in to shoot Alan's STI, approx 50 rounds of shotgun ammo (00, 000, and Brenneke Slugs), and approx 1000 rounds of 22lr. I usually have half the ammo I take out left. Plus at TGT events, everyone is so nice and has ammo of their own to share.

I normally bring about 3-4k (not counting .22) rounds with me on a normal range outing but i also bring about 30 guns on average. But with the way my health has been i havent hit the range in almost a year and have a nice stock pile of ammo forming. Yes i still buy the same amount of ammo each month even if i dont go shooting.

I'm taking about 500 rnds each of .40 and 9mm and 40 rnds .50 cause thats all I was able to get in time and used more than expected due to scope mounting problems. I guess I'm taking everything I have in the house at the time.

Goodness, I want your ammo budgets...I'm doing good to keep 200 rounds of each caliber on hand but then again, I don't have a job right now. I guess I also probably shoot more frequently than most which depletes anything I try to store up. I generally shoot about 3 times a week...a big part of the reason I picked up that glock 19 recently

I used to shoot 2 days a week while still working, after i got out of the Army i would shoot 4-6 days a week. I still buy ammo as if i was shooting that often though.

a couple of bricks of .22 and atleast a box for each other caliber gun i bring. depends on why im going to the range that day. if im going for pleasure i bring shitloads of .22. if im going to stress teest a particular gun i jsut bring ammo for that. or if im working on rifle/pistol transitions or something, well i guess ya get it.

im never at the range with les than 100 rounds on me unless it's time to leave.

Typically 100-200 rounds per pistol caliber that I'm firing. Probably going to be more now that I'm starting to reload. :)

It's too damn hot outside to be firing the thousands of rounds that you bunch of crazies are firing!

Pretty much I take 200 per caliber above .22 and then whatever of a bulk pack left over and a full bulk pack of 22lr if I take that to the range.

Fifty rounds per pistol, forty rounds for center fire rifle, and 200 rounds of .22 LR.

After shooting, I go to either Wal Mart or Academy and buy double the amount I shot.

That way, I'll mitigate any future shortages.

I normally take a 30 cal. ammo can of 9mm and another of .45ACP. I take a brick of .22. Doesn't mean I'll shoot it all but I don't want to be caught short.
