Google your inquiry on the factory spring rate for a specific handgun.

Be advised that the correct poundage will vary higher/lower based on the bullet weight, velocity, and energy level of a specific load.

Is there a site or a chart that details the factory recommended recoil spring numbers for popular handguns?

This is the back door way of gaining insight...you might try this: Go to Wolff Gunsprings - Firearm Springs for Semi-Auto Pistols, Revolvers, Rifles, & Shotguns and look for the recoil spring that fits your model. Usually they list the OEM recommendation and then the specifications for their extra power versions.

Or, you could just Google it. I'd probably trust Wolff Springs before I'd trust any arbitrary web search.
