Check your stuff at every opportunity guys ... I've found a handful of cracked cases in my range brass. Fortunately the primers show me they aren't mine, but they were obviously reloaded at least once. Be sure to check, you never really know the condition of the brass you get sometimes.

This is when a good reloading buddy helps out; my 11yr old is the perfect brass checker. Gives him something to do and saves me some time. I give all the brass a double check before I put it in the press and haven't had to cull one out yet. I've instructed him to err on the side of safety and scrap anything marginal; he tosses them into a shoebox so that I can check them before scrapping.

He's reloaded his own .32H&R under my eye; he was proud to go out and shoot his own ammo. Another year of pistol and then I'll start working with him on rifle loads.

Using progressive presses with case feeders, I inspect, deprime, and sort my brass after coming back from the range.
Once you pour the cases in the feeder, your opportunities to inspect are reduced to almost zero.
