I'm looking at buds gunshop and they have the above named rifle on sale for $700! Remington lists the MSRP at $1000.
I have a couple questions to ask y'all
    1. What is your opinion on bids gunshop, and their layaway service?
    2. What's your opinion on this rifle?
I want a new bolt gun in .308 and I love the 700, I have one in .30-06 already
    Thanks!

My past purchases from Buds have been good experiences. Pay the extra $5 for insurance, and choose a preferred FFL. To date I have only ordered handguns though.

    Get a Savage.

    Remington's QC has been spotty.

    Bud's is good to go.

My general advice is if you need to finance (or layaway) anything less than a grand or two save up until you can pay cash for it.

If you have the cash you can save some on the used market if you are okay with that.

Those triangle barrels are a gimmick. Just get a regular heavy varmint barrel it'll save you some money.

I have bought four guns through Bud's layaway plan. Nothing but good experience for me.

Buds has been great for me as well. Layaway plan is super. Remington VTR mine is a great shooter I love triangle barrel it is in 223 with Leupold 4x12 cds can hit gong 500 yards so nothing wrong with that. Great on coyote my oldest son borrows it quit often.
