Old guy I worked with sold me a NIB 2.5 python years ago for $600.00. I told him it was worth considerably more money. He said he would rather I take it then his deadbeat SIL. I told him I'd selll it & give himhalf the profit. He said no. I ended up getting $2,500.00 for it. The 2 boxes of ammo that came with it were Western brand & priced under $5.00. I still have those, figure some collectore would pay up for them.

Depending on condition (of course) the 2.5 inch is $3500.00 and up with most nice ones w/box in the 5k range....

and yes.....an ammo collector would love to have those boxes of ammo......

I will start the search for grips...there are a lot of Python grips out there on the market being sold as original and OEM that aren't.......they are reproductions and not accurate one's at that......did find one set of sealed NOS Colt Python packaging grips for a whopping $750.00....

The one I had was NIB, but the cylinder had wear fron everytime the drawer was open it slid on the cardboard of the box. I let a former president of the Texas Gun Collector Association flip the gun for me. He had it 1.5 & I told him to take what he needed for the deal.

Besides that .357 ammo I have some boxes of Western .45acp too that eventually will need a good home.
