Right place - right time

I'm typically a day late and dollar short and usually draw the short straw. Maybe the apacolypse is drawing near because a co-worker of mine said her father-in-law is liquidating his gun collection to help fund a retirement boat.

Only thing she said she knows he has for sale is a pre-ban Bushmaster AR15 for $500.
Includes numerous mags, case, open sights and ammo.

Sold ... get me a list.

I pick up the AR this afternoon and the list of other stuff. Mostly comprised of handguns from what I understand, but she said she saw "grenade launcher" on the list.

Really? Might make a nice addition to this black powder cannon I have in my garage.

Not much of an AR expert, but here is what I know ...

The AR isn't a pre-ban. The SN is in the 70000s, not 50000s which is the first litmus test frmk what I've read.

It's an E2S, fixed stock and fixed grab handle, no rails, smooth hand guard, no suppresor and not threaded for one, 20" barrel with 8 MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 H BAR markings.

The bolt has almost no wear marks on it.

I think I did OK ...

The list and descriptions were less than desired ...

10/22 w/scope - $150
Remington 700 in 308 w/scope - $500
Yugo SKS w/ grenade launcher - never shot - 7.62 x 39 - $200
Defender 12g with laser - $200

Lots of handguns still to be sorted through.
Not sure about the pricing ... will have to see.
Optics will make or break the pricing.

I'm taking the SKS and the Rem 700 most likely, unless the optics are el cheapo.
Same for the Ruger. I think the 12g is spoken for.

Any insight would be great!

The Rem700 could turn out to be a good deal, especially if it's a .308. Plus if it has a scope that means it has a base and rings. So you never know. I would be more interested in the handgun list.
