Sgt. Craig Hutchinson of the Travis County Sheriff's Department, a 32 year veteran of the force, was killed earlier this morning. I knew him very briefly, and I believe a few others on the forum knew him as well. He was larger than life, both literally and figuratively, and a great guy. This is a terrible loss.

The manhunt for the two suspects is currently under way. If you have any information, please call the tip line at 512-671-2767.

Sad news, read the article this morning and I had no idea he was a member here.
Prayers to his family seems there's no such thing as a good neighborhood anymore.

Prayers for him and his family. I hope they catch the pair that did this and fry them on a stick.

    Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

Sincere condolences to his family. Very sad news indeed. Sad state of affairs when a family mna can work all those years to provide for his family and so close to retirement in an instant it can all be taken form them. Sad day for law enforcement in Texas and for his family. God be with you and know many are praying for you and yours! RIP!
