I haven't seen one for less than $799. I've seen ads with lower prices but they don't have the pistol in stock.

Several of my 1911s are Rugers and Rock Islands. I like them both and think they are great guns.

I also have lots of other 1911s and I like them all.

I did pay $645.00 for one of my Government Model Ruger 1911 new.
The most I've paid was for a Commander Sized Ruger 1911 at $699.00.

Has anyone tried aftermarket 1911 mags in their Ruger? That gun is also in my list and if they play nice with aftermarket magazines I might have to get one ASAP!

I've tried McCormick, Wilson, and Tripp and they all worked with no issues.

I like mine quite a bit. Next purchase is the commander sized version. For the money, I don't think there's a better deal on a 1911.
