    Even though I never leave a weapon accessible to my children I still hammer it into their heads about gun respect. But I know they are still kids and do kid mistakes so I try to remember it is up to me to not give them that opportunity to make a mistake. My biggest emphasis is when they are at a friends house out of my control and how they handle a weapon not locked away. The one with the weapon is usually the one who is not shot.
