I had a chance today to stop into Saddle Rock Armory in North Austin off of 620. I heard about the place in another post here noting that they did $15 transfers and I realized they were only a couple of miles away from where I lived.
It is not often when you walk into a small gun store and find yourself staring at a pair of HK M7P8's in the case. They had a decent amount of handguns. Mostly new but also some used stuff. Prices were reasonable.
Really, really nice people. Super friendly and legitimately knowledgeable. Definitely worth a few minutes of your time to stop in and say hello if you are in the area.
If you ever decide to go over there check their hours out first as they have pretty specific opening times.
