Does anyone know if the Convention Center in SA is a gun-free zone?

If you're talking about the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, being a city-owned facility, it legally can't be 30.06.

SA has a very bad reputation of 30.06ing places which shouldn't be. I've talked to several bureaucrats about this; their response is essentially "If they aren't going to fine us for it the signs will stay up."

Know your law and be prepared to fight an unjust arrest. Something like Texas Legal Shield or Patriot Defense might be a good idea. Or just don't let them see your gun.

Does the center fall under 51%? The fairgrounds in Robstown have a concession vendor and are 51%. I called TABC and inquired about the posting being valid when vendor isn't on site. Found out its a permit that covers the entire grounds and is indeed valid even when vendor isn't present. Just another aspect that should be considered that might not be obvious.
