I'm cool with that too. In some Middle East countries, that use to be a common sentence for thieves, cutting off a hand. I don't know if it's still a common practice anymore though.

In those countries, they knew a person with their hand cut off was a thief. Guess what they called a person missing two hands? Dumb-Ass!
Actually, in those countries the second offense results in cutting off your head….

    Absolutely...I don't blame the LEO's at all....

Anyone with a brain knew when they passed that particular law what the outcome would be........and they did it on purpose.....imho...

I'm not ok with under $950.00 being a misdemeanor........

    That shit wouldn't fly here.........
Apparently not. In Texas, with some exceptions, anything under $1500 is a misdemeanor. The exceptions are firearms and certain species of livestock. When the California legislature passed Prop 47, they said they did it to bring California more in line with other states.

According to Texas Penal Statutes, it's $2500 and less for a misdemeanor. $2501 gets you into a felony.

And yet the property/land prices, and rent in that area is retardedly high. Pre-COVID IIRC the average rent in SF was $4500 / month. If you made 100k / year, you were pretty much broke between rent, insurance, food and utilities given the confiscatory tax levels in Cali, between federal, state, and sales taxes
No wonder they shit on the sidewalk. Cant afford to flush a toilet.

This shit is crazy, never thought bizzaro world could get any worse, but yet it has. All kinds of stores are closing due to PROP47 passed by the idiots that run the city.

This is GREAT! This kinda crazy will slap some sense into the "woke" culture.Too bad that a whole segment of the economy has to be ruined to achieve common sense.

When I first read the title I thought I had inadvertently gone to MSM or CNN but nope. Good old TGT. But a title as far right as the MSM is left. The only thing correct is the maybe the amount. It's still a crime, just Misdemeanor not Felony. It wasn't legalized and SF didn't do it (the law).
