    I do not know what all I need for this project I would like to build a Savage Edge/Axis I have a barrel and a triger but need all the rest I am building this gun for my son and would like to give it to him on Christmas pm me with anything that you can help me with thanks for any help you can give D Crockett

    I don't think you can round up the parts cheaper than just buying a new one. That model is pretty affordable. Used ones pop up pretty cheap.

    I would buy a new one with the same bolt and action length as your barrel and use it as a switch caliber gun. If your barrel is .308 Win then buy one in .243 or something like that.

    I bought my Edge XP in .308 from Bud's Gun Shop online, it was about $300 delivered. It's an excellent rifle for the price...
