For the rifle to be an SBR does the barrel have to be under 16 in. without the flash hider or 16 in. including the flash hider. May seem like a dumb question but I am trying to determine if I can get a 14.5 in. and with the flash hider the barrel is 16 in. or if I have to get a 16 in. barrel. Thanks.

If the flash hider is permanently attached to the barrel (pin and weld) then it can be included in your measurement.
