If a Trust was recently created and a person is sending in a Form 1 for their first Class III item, will the Schedule A be empty? I read that a trust needs to have some "real item" in it prior to adding the NFA item.

When Sean did mine he put $10 in the Schedule A, but I did NOT put my NFA item on it yet. I'm still waiting on both my Form 4s and I'll add them when I get them.

    Correct.

Technically, I beleive you have an ownership intrest in any form 4 item that your trust purchases.

However, some at the ATF don't want to see the form 4 item on the schedule until the form 4 is approved.

While I disagree . . . I am not arguiong a technical aspect of law with a damned gobnut Bureaucrap in West Virginia.

Indeed ... they want the feeling of power from the process. Frankly, I know I'm eligible ... the paperwork is fluff for the guv'ment.

I think it's retarded that a muffler for my gun is registered, but a muffler for my car is not.

IIRC, I put my first can on the sched A after I paid for it, which means it was on there when I sent the package in. Got approved quickly.

When adding the lower done under a form 1 or a can on a form 4, what all is included? Serial number alone? Manufacturer/model/etc?

This is a whole new world for me so what would make you NOT eligible for the purchase of a supressor?

The qualification is the same as owning a pistol. If you can walk into a store and buy a pistol outright, then you got nothing to worry about on the Form 4.
