Some of you already know I was having problems with the new scope I mounted on my .50. I fired some groups today to try and figure out if it's a problem with the scope or how it's mounted.

Shots 1-5 are with no adjustments
    The adjusted 2.5R/2Up
    fired shots 6, 7, 8.

Seemed to have moved twice the intended distance so I went 1D/1L and fired 9 and 10.

Looks like it is showing a diagonal grouping, to me it looks like a scope problem but wanted to check before sending it back in.

Any expert opinions, I'm sure I wasn't pulling the shots, I thought number 2 may have been pulled but they all seem to follow the pattern and I know I didn't pull that many.

Not thinking it's an accuracy problem with the rifle because I would expect more scattering in all directions so I'm down to the scope or the mounting.

    Thanks for the help.

I'm gonna change my location one of these days, I'm in Hill County, near Hillsboro.

Went looking for a torque wrench today rated to in. lbs but the lowest rating I was able to find started at 120, thats what I get for looking for gun tools at an auto parts store. Harbor freight is supposed to have one but doubt it's the most accurate.

Dang..I was gunna say... I have a rifle that should be able to mount your optic without clearance issues if you wanted to test it.

Check midway or brownells. If I remember right, they have some nice torque drivers that are pretty reasonably priced.

Kyle may be a tree huggin hippee but I agree with him on this one.. what kind of mount are you running? For a caliber that big Im hoping some descent rings.. I have a 338LM I had some of the same initial issues with and it was the mount that couldnt hold the scope through the recoil..
