    Friends,

I've been asked by a Texas Non-Profit group to become a "living history docent" of the Texas Revolution period & NEED a really "plain jane" MUSKET or RIFLE, of the sort that "a common country fellow" might have acquired "on the cheap" in the first third of the 19th Century & for service with GEN Houston's forces.

A long-gun that LOOKS "well-used" but which is functional in every respect would be perfect for my purposes.
(I can see no good reason to buy a new firearm & then "mess it up".)

Should you have such a firearm which is surplus to your needs, PLEASE send photos & your price to: texasnative46@gmail.com

    THANKS, satx

I've got two original Civil War cap & ball. Both are shooters in good condition, not wall hangers

Have you considered aquiring and building a kit gun, such as a Traditions KY Long rifle, for instance? You could pretty much finish it to any condition you like, without spending a fortune on it.

I recently completed one for myself and it was pretty simple to do with basic tools.

    Just a thought...

    Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.
