Thinking of selling off my wife's DPMS AR-15 and purchase a Bullpup instead. Don't have one in the collection. Have been looking at the MSAR STG-556. How do folks like this bullpup design ? Good Bad ?

    how much for the AR?
    Any pics?

I'm out of town until tomorrow evening, will get it listed with pics when I get home. I have two sets of furniture for it, one set is Krylon'ed pink (at my wifes request), the other is standard black. Will come with carrying case, 2 mags, sling. It also has a fake suppressor threaded onto the end (pink of course). Not sure what to ask for it yet.

I have a MSAR and love it. The trigger isn't as nice as an AR trigger and mag changes are slower, but I really dig that compact platform. Just don't paint it pink, ok?

I am not trashing the idea, as I have a fondness for the design, but if you can, try one out before you buy. Shooting a bullpup is a little different then a regular long arm and it would be a good idea to make sure whoever is going to be shooting it is comfortable with it. I was thinking of getting one for my wife, but finding one for a left handed shooter is not easy, being either unavailable or very expensive, depending on the model.

Thanks for your insights on the MSAR. I really like the compactness of it. Looks to be a fun gun to shoot....and I promise not to paint it pink...no matter what the wife says.

a pink gun could be a real advantage. the BG could be distracted by laughing long enough to draw a bead and triple tap the forehead ;)

Get the E-4 version, it uses standard AR mags. Super fun to shoot gun. Interesting thing, you can put a bucket about five feet behind you and about three to the right and catch every piece of brass fired.

edit: nevermind about it costing 70% more (no idea why though).
